About the Baffled Lens

I have been taking photographs since I was about five years old. My father is an extraordinary photographer, so I come by it honestly. I grew up loading, shooting and developing my own film in his darkroom. I love digital because you can do so much with it (like post photos to a blog), but I also love being forced to think about composition when shooting with film. You just can’t crank off 600 shots and hope that a few will work…

On the Baffled Lens I will post a few of my photos from time to time… I hope you enjoy.

  1. Very good photos. You have a great eye for composition!

  2. Why, thank you, sir…

  3. Hi – I appreciate your feedback on my blog/website. You have obviously had the opportunity to do some traveling, and I envy you that.

Many of your images showed a wonderful creative flair in the composition, and I enjoy seeing something from a non-traditional point of view. My personal favorites were: Jemez Sunset, Wells Fargo Stage, Temple Rain, and Autumn Color in Texas. I would also enjoy seeing your own comments with the photos; ie. why you took it that way or what caught your eye. Best wishes!
